A Douglas County woman drove away from charges of illegally obtaining a vehicle in Lyon County.
Charges against a Douglas County woman suspected of taking the car were dropped this week after to an apparent miscommunication between law enforcement agencies was discovered.
Becky Haines said she was arrested on the motor vehicle embezzlement charges after trading titles. She said the recipient of her Ford Thunderbird was unhappy with the deal.
Haines, arrested in Douglas County on Christmas Eve on a Lyon County warrant, was released when she provided law enforcement officials with a bill of sale.
The Lyon County District Attorney's office said it does not intend to prosecute at this time.
