A Carson City man was arrested early Thursday morning after deputies responded to reports that a car had crashed through the wall of a home in the 200 block of South Carson Street.
Josh Stapleton, 18, reportedly said that he took his friend's car without permission when he went to the store to get cookies for his girlfriend.
When deputies contacted him, he admitted that he was under the influence of alcohol and said, "I'm sorry, I'm ready to go to jail now," according to the report.
He was booked on suspicion of seven misdemeanor charges including drunken driving, hit-and-run, failure to report an accident, driving on a suspended license, minor consuming alcohol, reckless driving and destruction of property.
Bail was set at $4,505.
