Toastmaster takes first in speech contest

Capital Nevada Toastmaster Geneva Arnold recently took first place in a Division B speech contest held at the Atlantis Hotel and Casino.

Four area chapters were represented at the competition. Those participating in the speech contest and the chapters they represented were: Arnold, Capital Nevada; Peter Fowler, Reno Downtowners; Jayna Gaskell, Jaboom Street and Jennifer Normington, Washoe Zyphers.

Arnold was awarded top honors at the breakfast competition and Fowler took second place. Arnold will represent Capital Nevada Toastmasters at the upcoming District 39 speech competition on May 19-20 at the Ramada Inn in Sacramento.
