A Truckee Meadows Flood Management Plan workshop is scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday in Reno.

The purpose of the meeting is to give members of the community a chance to help design the estimated $116 million flood management project under development by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Altogether, county officials have planned four major Community Coalition meetings to design what community members believe should be priorities for the flood planning project.

Saturday's meeting will be held in the Reno-Sparks Association of Realtors Building at 5650 Riggins Ct. east of Meadowood Mall.

More information is available from Bob Harmon at Washoe County Community Relations, 328-6145.
