For the next few weeks, Western Nevada Community College students will sell their textbooks back to the college bookstore, making them available for those taking courses during the spring semester.

Since the bookstore expanded a year ago into a new location in the Aspen Building, many new products are available to students and the public. Manufacturers of computer software with academic applications offer price reductions to college bookstores.

WNCC T-shirts and sweatshirts are also at discounted prices this holiday season. Many general interest books are being offered at half price.

"Most people don't know that we are a Barnes & Noble facility and we can get any kind of book, general interest or academic title, through a special order," manager Glenn Heath said.

The store also stocks greeting cards, school supplies and reference materials. Store hours are 9:30 a.m.-7:15 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Friday.
