Leland James Hall, 85, of Carson City, died Dec. 28, 2001.
Hall was born June 14, 1916 to James M. Hall and Ottilie Wolfgramm in Chicago, Ill. He lived in Carson City for 18 years, having last resided in Boulder Hill, Ill.
He was an electrical engineer who was on the National Academy of Sciences in 1975. He was also active in the National Fire Prevention Association and American Feed Industry Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty, of Carson City; his son, Robert, of Los Gatos, Calif.; his son, James, of Arlington, Texas; four granddaughters; one grandson; and, one great-granddaughter.
At Mr. Hall's request, no service is scheduled. FitzHenry's Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
