A funeral for Carolyn F. Belle Isle, 61, a Silver Springs resident for the past six years, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home in Yerington with Pastor David Heath officiating.
Mrs. Belle Isle died Aug. 27, 2001, at her home. She was born Oct. 20, 1939 in Norfolk, Neb. to William and Lillian Hansen Petersen.
She graduated from Stanton High School in Stanton, Neb.
Before moving to Silver Springs, she lived in Sun Valley.
Mrs. Belle Isle worked as a secretary for the Washoe County Sheriff's Department for 18 years, retiring four years ago.
Among her survivors are her husband George of Silver Springs; sons Scott Stephens of California, Shawn Pease of Oklahoma, Steven Pease of Alabama, Dr. Marc Johnston and Brett Johnston, both of Sparks; brothers Dennis Petersen of Norfolk, Neb. and Kenneth Peterson of Stanton; sister Sue Payne of Sun Valley; six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.
Memorial contributions may be made to either the Veterans Memorial Association of Western Nevada, 460 Shady Lane Court, Reno, Nev., 89509 or to the Senior Center, Silver Springs, Nev., 89429.
