Pizza, candlelight dinner delivered

Sunset Rotary Club of Carson City will be delivering pizza and wine to residents of Carson City on Sept. 13.

The "Wine and Dine" fund-raiser will benefit youth sports and the Edmonds Sports Complex, where Sunset Rotary is building a storage facility for sports equipment in response to a request from the Carson City Parks and Recreation Commission.

The club is offering a choice of a "Romantic Candlelight Dinner" package or "Family Pizza Dinner."

The Romantic dinner includes a choice of gourmet "Cajun Chicken," gourmet "Uptown Veggie" or gourmet pizza with "The Works," plus a bottle of wine or liter of soda. Choices include Savona Merlot, Savona Chardonnay, Coke, Diet coke or Sprite. The package also includes a romantic candle by which to dine. This Romantic dinner will be delivered to Carson City residents for $33.

The Family dinner includes an 18-inch pepperoni pizza and liter of soda, delivered to Carson City residents for $23.

Dinner deliveries can be arranged between 5 and 8 p.m. Sept. 13.

Sunset Rotary is taking advance orders via fax and e-mail. Order forms are available by calling 246-0999. Forms are also available for pick up at Marlo's Ltd., a fine wine and gourmet shop, at 1000 N. Carson St., as well as at the Straw Hat Pizza stores located at 2629 N. Carson St., and at 127 Clearview Drive. The orders forms may be faxed or e-mailed to the club through Sept. 12, and dinners may be charged to credit cards in advance or for cash upon delivery.

Sunset Rotary meets Thursday evenings at the Station Grill and was chartered by Rotary International in 1994-95. The evening club has a membership of 32 professionals who live or work in Carson City.
