New rules for airlines

When traveling out of the Reno/Tahoe International Airport, passengers should be prepared for:

-- Heightened security measures including increase of law enforcement officials from the Airport Authority and local police departments

-- No knives of any kind will be allowed

-- Increased baggage and additional passenger screenings

-- No curbside check-in

-- Ticketed passengers only will be allowed past security check points for departing flights

-- Parking for short and long-term is available south of the parking garage at the surface lot; the airport's parking structure is closed indefinitelyE

-- Airlines will provide specific ticketing, including e-ticket, instructions

-- Passengers should be prepared for at least 2-hour check-ins

--Special passenger assistance will need to be made directly with airlines
