Utah man held in Nevada in wife's shooting death

ELKO -- A Utah man who police say confessed to murdering his wife and dumping her body in Nevada was awaiting a return to his home state.

Lloyd Harry, 46, of Duchesne, was being held Friday in the Elko County Jail pending the outcome of extradition proceedings.

Sheriff Neil Harris said Harry indicated he would waive extradition, and Utah authorities were planning to process a murder warrant for him.

Searchers found the body of Harry's 63-year-old wife, Rosemary Kramer, on Thursday in a ravine at Secret Pass, about 35 miles east of Elko.

Investigators said they think the woman was fatally shot on Dec. 2 in the couple's apartment and her body was dumped there the next day.

Harry drove to Sparks, where he told a Western Village security guard that he had murdered his wife and dumped her body, investigators said.

The guard then notified Sparks police, who held Harry on a variety of charges until his transfer to the Elko County Jail.

Detectives found bloody clothes in the couple's car in Sparks but are still looking for the murder weapon.

Investigators said the couple reportedly had a history of domestic violence.
