Wow! Only nine days left until Christmas, can you believe it? As always, I have wonderful companies, organizations and private individuals to thank.
First, I would like to thank John and Paula McKenna for sponsoring the Little Caesar's Pizza party for 80 needy students. Next, Harley-Davidson Financial Services and Karson Kruizers for again adopting 130 middle- and high school students throughout Carson City to shop for gifts for themselves and their families.
Finally I would like to thank Super Kmart for showing us the true meaning of Christmas by allowing the students to have a wonderful time shopping in their store, plus giving them a discount on individual purchases. Thank you all for showing how to give.

This Week: Usually I tell you what will be happening next week. However, I want to give a big congratulations to our entire town and Noon Rotary, the Governor's Mansion, KTVN, Girl Scouts and volunteers from the Carson City School District for filling the pantry at Advocates. When I called at noon on Friday, the community had donated more than 9,000 pounds of food. Truly amazing!
