Memorial service for Smedley

A memorial service for George Smedley will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Horseshoe Club, 402 Carson St.

Smedley, 81, was killed Dec. 10 as he crossed Stewart Street. He is survived by five children, 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren,

For 15 years, he lived in Carson City, where he made many friends.
