Six boy scouts from Carson City Troop 16 helped clean up after the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada's renovation.
Scouts Daniel and Thomas Schwedhelm, Andrew Deacy, Rafe Tackes, Ben Adler and Jeff Bushey filled up two 20-yard dumpsters with trash and debris.
The six scouts were helped by adult leaders Gail Bushey and Marty Schwedhelm.
Children's Museum Executive Director Denise Sins thanked the scouts for their work and expressed relief that there is now more room in the museum.
A grant from the Nevada State Commission for Cultural Affairs helped pay to refinish the floors, paint the front doors and fix the front steps and the concrete pillars. Money also went to paint the eves and install storm windows.
The boys volunteered for the work, which allowed them to earn points toward obtaining merit badges.
