A Rosary for Joseph Ellis Koury, 76, a Carson City resident for the past 26 years, will be said at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church followed by a memorial Mass.
Mr. Koury died Jan. 7, 2002, in Carson City. He was born June 27, 1925, in Bristol, Okla.
He retired as slot manager from Hyatt North Shore Lake Tahoe. He was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
Mr. Koury was preceded in death by his wife June.
Among his survivors are his sons Michael of Long Beach, Calif., and Christopher of Carson City; daughters Tish Koury and Mary Jo Fischer, both of Carson City, and Barbara Koury of Lakewood, Colo.; grandchildren Kristopher and Courtney Aragon; and brothers Maurice of Wilksbarre, Pa., and Michael of Florida.
Inurnment will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
