A graveside service for Leona J. Park, 95, a Carson City resident for the past 15 years, will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Mottsville Cemetery in Gardnerville.
A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Carson Valley Methodist Church in Gardnerville.
Mrs. Park died Jan. 14, 2002, in Reno. She was born March 22, 1906, in Pinerolo, Piedmonte, Torino, Italy. She moved to Castle Gate, Utah, in 1920.
She married Lawrence Carnusso in 1928. They moved to Tonopah and followed mining camps. In 1948, they moved to the Carson Valley where they operated the Minden Blacksmith Shop until his death in 1963.
She married Harold Friday Park in 1965, and they lived in Minden until he died in 1983.
Mrs. Park was a member of and helped to build the Carson Valley Methodist Church. She was a member of WSCS, Carson Valley Historical Society, Genoa Homemakers and Artemesia Chapter 20, Order of the Eastern Star. She was the historian for the Young at Heart Senior Center for 15 years and she was active with the Genoa Museum for many years. She grew flowers and vegetables wherever she lived in the state of Nevada.
Among her survivors are her daughters Emma Marie Scilacci of Lovelock, Norma Lee Stenowich of Carson City and Marguerite "Tinka" Ross and husband Alex, of San Rafael, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Carson Valley United Methodist Church or to the Heart Fund.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
