Applications due for city committees

Applications are due today for volunteers on a committee to monitor Carson City's first sewer and water rate study in 12 years.

While six of the nine positions on the committee have been filled, three people are still needed for the new Utilities Advisory Committee:

One resident from mobile home rate class.

One representative each from an industrial business and a commercial business within Carson City.

-- One person is needed to complete the remainder of a term for the the city's Storm Drainage Advisory Committee. The term expires in August. A Carson resident with the ability to work with the public on storm water issues who has a technical background and an understanding of public policy, government finance and real estate issues is encouraged to apply.

Applications are due Feb. 8.
