Audrey Haskel Tolbert died January 25, 2002 at her residence in Carson City, Nev. She was 88 years old.
Audrey was born May 25, 1913 in Bohannon, Okla. to Ruben Stone and Sarah Morgan Stone. She moved to Carson City in 1994 from Hanford, Calif.
A protestant, she attended the Church of the Nazarene in Carson City. Audrey was also a member of the Laton, Calif. Church of God for 39 years. She enjoyed embroidery, quilting and sewing. She also enjoyed going to the Carson City Senior Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Venoid Tolbert, who passed away in 1989. They were married for 54 years.
She is survived by a son, Venoid Eugene Tolbert, of Carmichel, Calif.; daughters Patricia Irwin, of Carson City and Sandra McHone, of Houston, Texas; brothers Lawrence Stone, of Payson, Ariz. and Ted Stone, of Dewey, Ariz.; sisters Gladys Henderson, of Visalia, Calif., Eunice Chandler, of Tempe, Ariz. and Nadine Jackson, of Olympia, Wash.; eight grandchildren; and, nine great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Walton's Funeral Home in Carson City. A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002 at 1 p.m., also at Walton's Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Laton, Calif. Graveside services at Oak Grove will be Thursday, Jan. 31 at 2 p.m.
