A man allegedly fleeing police Wednesday lost control of his truck and slammed into a home at the corner of Sophia and Curry streets.
Earlier at about 4:15 p.m. a Carson City Sheriff's deputy pulled over a truck with no license plates at Curry and Fleischmann streets.
As the officer approached the vehicle, the driver, later identified as Raymond Harold, 44, allegedly took off at a high speed and ran through a stop sign at Sophia and Curry.
"He turned left in the middle of the street and slams into the house," said witness James Butler, 21, who was walking with his friend Tim Howard, 16.
"He just turned real fast."
Mike Hautekeet, owner of Mike's Pharmacy, which is directly in front of the home hit, said he saw the police car fly past his shop windows and rushed outside just after the truck hit the house.
"The (police) had their guns drawn and the guy in the car couldn't open the door," Hautekeet said. "It was just like 'COPS'."
Harold suffered head trauma in the crash, which left the front of the Ford heavily damaged. Damage to the home appeared minimal. No one was home at the time of the accident.
Harold was transported to Carson-Tahoe Hospital and then taken to Washoe Medical Center.
Police expect to charge him with drunken driving, eluding and driving on a suspended license.
