A memorial Mass for Lucile H. Sheldon, 77, a Carson City resident for the past 13 years, will be at noon Friday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 565 Zolezzi Lane (Montessori School), Reno, with Father Thomas Donnelly officiating.
Mrs. Sheldon died July 13, 2002, at Home Away From Home Assisted Living in Reno. She was born June 28, 1925, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, to Elzear and Clara Bernard Lamothe.
She great up in Ottawa and lived there until October 1951 when she married Arthur W. Sheldon. They moved to Seekonk, Mass., to Lakeside, Calif. and then to Carson City in September 1989.
Mrs. Sheldon was a stay-at-home mom and raised five children.
She was preceded in death by her husband and sister Lillian Bruno.
Among her survivors are her sons Brian E. and Shaun L. both of Carson City; daughters Joan M. Treece of Santee, Calif., Lynn C. Lavergne of Gloucester, Ontario, Canada and Terry Sheldon-Brown of Reno; nine grandchildren; sisters Jacqueline Legault of Ottawa, sister Claire Lamothe of Quebec City, Quebec, Canada and brothers Roger Lamothe of Hull, Quebec, Canada and Maurice Lamothe of Montpellier, Quebec, Canada.
