A memorial service for Lester Jean Harvey, 85, a Carson City resident for the past 54 years, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith.
Mr. Harvey died June 6, 2002, in Carson City. He was born May 17, 1917, in Sand Hills, Neb., to Lester W. and Jeanette MacHaney Harvey.
Before moving to Carson city, he lived in Long Beach, Calif.
Mr. Harvey was a self-employed well driller. He enjoyed working in mines and hunting.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Among his survivors is his wife Hazel of Carson City.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
