New Sunset Rotary president takes over July 1

Ken Hollman, president of Micromanipulator Company Inc. in Carson City and Probing Solutions Inc. in Dayton, will be president of Carson City Sunset Rotary Club for the year starting July 1.

Hollman is also the chief operating officer of U.S. Microscope Company Inc. These companies manufacture scientific instruments used primarily in the semiconductor industry throughout the world.

Hollman joined the Sunset Rotary Club in 1995, a year after the club was sponsored by the Carson City Rotary Club and chartered by Rotary International, and he received the "Quiet Rotarian" award for that year, recognition reserved for the most valuable member of the club.

Dr. Rex Baggett, a physician with Mountain Medical Associates Ltd., was named president elect and will serve in the role of vice president during Hollman's term. Toni Langson, owner of Little People portrait studio, will serve as club secretary.

Ada White, business and finance director of Astromec, continues a second term as club treasurer.

The club's board of directors also includes elected club service chairpersons, including: Community Service chairman, Bill Creekbaum of Soloman Smith-Barney; Vocational Service chairman, Dr. Jack Davis of Capitol Orthopedics; International/Foundation Service chairwoman, Donna Schultz, a senior trainer with the DMV; Polio Plus Chairman, Russ Fiddyment of Metcalf Builders; and Club Service chairman, Morgan Price, owner of Parc De Maison in Carson City.

Carson City Sunset Rotary Club is one of three clubs, along with Carson City Club and Minden Club, which make up Area 9 of District 5190. The club meets every Thursday evening for dinner at the Station Grill & Rotisserie, 1105 S. Carson Street, between 6:30 and 8 p.m.
