Memorial services for Marvin F. Settelmeyer, 83, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Gardnerville.
Mr. Settelmeyer died March 21, 2002 in Sparks. He was born Aug. 12, 1918 in Gardnerville and has been a lifetime resident of Minden.
He spent his life as a rancher and dairyman. He served as a Douglas County commissioner and was a former member of the Nevada State Welfare Board.
He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn.
He is survived by his daughters Karen White of Minden, Marie Layton of Reno; granddaughter Renae White; brother Richard Settelmeyer of Reno.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
