A funeral for Paul Lee Nieri, Jr., 65, will be at 2 p.m. today at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
He died Oct. 29, 2002. He was born Jan. 1, 1937, in the family home in Dayton, to Paul Sr. and Gilda Parlanti Nieri.
He attended Dayton schools and graduated from Dayton High School. He was active in sports in high school, particularly basketball.
He served in the National Guard for 10 years.
He played racquetball for several years.
Among his survivors are: his wife of 46 years Donna; son and daughter-in-law Stephen and Kellie Nieri of Carson City; daughters and sons-in-law Cheryl and David Park of Carson City and DeeAnna and Jeff Eller of Glendale, Calif.; sister and brother-in-law Gail and Paul Howard of Dayton; grandchildren Robert Allen Gillings, Alex and Eric Eller, Stephen and Stacey Nieri; brother-in-law and wife Terry and Cathy Cassingham of Auburn, Wash.; nephews Danny, Randy and Paul Howard and Kris Cassingham and three nieces.
Burial will be at the Dayton Cemetery.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
