Adeles On The Plaza has closed after 10

years at 425 S. Virginia, but the restaurant

will come back to life as The Chophouse on

Virginia Street.

Paul Aboud, owner of Adeles on the

Plaza, retired and sold the restaurant to

Tim Wright and Tommy Cortopassi.

Wright and Cortopassi, who have 45

combined years in the restaurant business,

say The Chophouse will be fashioned after

the famous Chop House restaurant in

Chicago and the numerous similar restaurants

that have opened in major cities across

the country.

Both men helped to open Michael Bros.

Steakhouse in Reno, but no longer have any

association with that restaurant.

The new owners said that they plan to

open The Chophouse by mid-November

after remodeling work that will include new

carpeting, new upholstery, (the removal of

the high backs on the booths) and new wall

hangings.

Sam Haas McKemy, will be executive

chef.

The concept of The Chophouse is a

steakhouse for the working person, said

Wright.

The Chophouse will be open for lunch

Monday through Friday and dinner will be

served nightly.
