Clark & Sullivan Constructors has

started work on three expansion and

renovation projects at Washoe Medical

Center, part of a series of jobs the firm

is handling at the hospital.

Reno-based Clark & Sullivan is

managing renovation of the emergency

services department. The job includes

an 800-square-foot expansion of the

waiting room, 15 additional exam

rooms and a renovation of all existing

areas of the emergency services department,

including nurses' station, triage

area, and patient registration area.

The project, which began in July,

will take a year to complete. Work

schedules will respect the needs of

emergency personnel and patients during

construction.

The company recently completed an

ambulance entrance renovation at the

emergency services department.

Clark & Sullivan also is the general

contractor on a remodel of the neurobiplane

angiography and cardiac cath Lab

at Washoe Medical.

The remodel will increase the neurobiplane

angiography area by approximately

1,400 square feet and the cardiac

cath lab by approximately 2,000

square feet.

These projects are scheduled for

completion this month.

In another hospital-related project,

Clark & Sullivan completed a

staircase in the Courtyard Center.

Contractors faced many obstacles

building the staircase, mainly because

of existing hospital utilities located

directly beneath the construction area,

said project manager Jarrett Rosenau.
