Linda Deacy, Douglas County library director, was honored with the Librarian of the Year Award presented at the Nevada Library Association awards banquet this month in Ely.
The Douglas County Library Board of Trustees nominated Deacy for her work and dedication to the library.
A committee of her peers selected Deacy to receive the award. Library board chairman Mike Coleman presented Deacy with a copy of the letter of nomination
Commissioner Bernie Curtis presented her with a letter and plaque from the Douglas County Board of Commissioners.
State Librarian Sara Jones made a short speech of congratulations and the Friends of
the Library presented her with flowers and a corsage.
