Contributions to the new Nevada Museum of Art both hard and soft keep pouring in.

Sierra Nevada Concrete Association said it has donated $18,000 in products and services to pave the parking lot of the Reno museum.

The lot, originally planned to be laid in asphalt, was poured in concrete, which helps the museum save money and is more environmentally friendly, according to the association.

The museum last week also received a $1.5 million donation from International Game Technology.

The gift is in support of the museum, the Donald W.

Reynolds Center for Visual Arts, and the E.L.

Wiegand Gallery.

The Reno slot maker's donation brings the museum endowment campaign near to completion.

The new museum, on West Liberty Street in downtown Reno, is set to open on May 24.
