The Nevada World Trade Council will sponsor World Trade Day in Reno on May 8.
Speakers and panels will focus on development of new international markets.
Keynote speaker is Steve Craven, senior advisor for U.S.
Commercial Service.
John Walsh of U.S.
Bank will provide a global update during a luncheon program.
The exporter of the year will be honored by Lt.
Gov.
Lorraine Hunt during the noon program.
The Nevada World Trade Council is a nonprofit group founded in 1988 to encourage import and export activity.
Its focus includes professional services, logistics and intellectual capital as well as exports and imports of merchandise.
World Trade Day will run from 8 a.m.
until the conclusion of the luncheon program.
It will be at the Peppermill Hotel & Casino.
Cost for members of the council is $75 for the full day and $30 for the lunch program only.
Cost for non-members is $85 for the full day and $35 for the luncheon program.
Those who become members of the council on World Trade Day will pay the member cost.
