Helen L. Phillips, 86, a Carson City resident for the past six years, died Aug. 9, 2003, in Tucson, Ariz. She was born Dec. 17, 1916, in Taylorville, Ill.
Mrs. Phillips retired from JC Penney in California.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Phillips, in March 1965 in Hawthorne, Calif.
Among her survivors are her son and daughter-in-law Gary and Elaine Phillips of Carson City; daughter and son-in-law Carole and Jason Murden of Tucson and son and daughter-in-law David and Tina Phillips of Lomita, Calif.; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
A service was held Aug. 9 at Inglewood Cemetery Mortuary in Inglewood, Calif.
