Obituary: Joseph Canciamilla

Joseph Canciamilla, a Carson City resident for the past 12 years, died Aug. 20, 2003. He was born March 22, 1915.

Mr. Canciamilla retired from the San Jose School District. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Among his survivors are his daughters Paula Shanks and Jo Ellen Dobynski of Carson City and Judy Ramirez of Dayton; partner and caregiver Erma Smith of Carson City; son-in-law Michael Ramirez of Dayton; grandsons Craig Hatley of Carson City, Alan Hatley of San Jose, Calif., Dean Hayley of Dayton and Eric Hayley of Sacramento, Calif.; granddaughters Michelle Wood of Dayton and Lori Hayley of Campbell, Calif.; great-grandsons Brett Hatley of San Ramon, Calif., and Stevie Haugh of Dayton; great-granddaughters Stefanie Hatley of San Ramon, Venice and Cadance Hayley and Kirsten Haugh of Carson City and Jennie Haugh of Dayton.

Private inurnment will be at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
