Obituary: Wallace Otto Schorzman

An inurnment service for Wallace Otto Schorzman, 75, a Minden-Gardnerville resident for the past 13 years, will be at 9 a.m. Sept. 22 at Eastside Memorial Park in Minden.

Mr. Schorzman died Aug. 5, 2003, at Carson Convalescent Center. He was born June 3, 1928, in Rupert, Idaho, to Joe and Margaret Guthmiller Schorzman.

He completed college in Long Beach, Calif.

Before moving to this area, he lived in Southern California and Oregon.

Mr. Schorzman worked on his family farm in Rupert for 18 years. He then was an aerospace engineer, retiring in 1989.

He loved golf and was a member of the South Course Men's Golfing Club in Long Beach. He was a Christian.

He served for two years in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was in the Reserves.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, on March 23, 2002.

Among his survivors are his sons Randy of Fresno, Calif., and Steve of Visalia, Calif.;and daughters JoLeene Kaszarian of Sanger, Calif., Sheri Schorzman of Oakland, Calif., Sonya Schroeder of Gardnerville and Michelle Cardenas of Anaheim, Calif.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.

FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
