Most nights last summer, Adriana Bain and Mesha Bosco put the kids to bed and started working at a dining room table in Bain's home in the Double Diamond neighborhood.
Working until an hour or two after midnight, they made beaded underwear to help address the problems presented by lowriding styles of jeans along with beaded tank tops and other jewelry items.
Now that winter has arrived, they're still putting the kids to bed and working hard as the number of retail outlets handling their work has grown to seven including one in California.
"It's 10 times busier," says Bosco.
"We're meeting with our accountant, and we've done very well. We're surprised."
The company's signature line of underwear and tank tops see aphroditejewelery.
com still is "selling like hotcakes," Bosco says.
