The Tahoe Ridge Vineyards and Winery Inc.

plan to build a winery, museum and guest cottages on the Van Sickle Station Ranch in Minden is still on track to break ground in February, despite a couple minor delays.

The owners of the winery are just starting to raise money for the $10 million project after deciding to change architects.

"We'll be talking to investors we know through the end of the year," said Rick Halbardier, owner of Tahoe Ridge and chief executive officer of the Van Sickle ranch project.

"Then we'll start a full blown effort in January."

The winery has hired Lake/Flato Architects Inc.

of San Antonio to design the project, with Q&D Construction as builder.

Black Eagle Consulting of Reno has also been hired to determine what might be done with geothermal resources on the property.
