Comedy Central's "Reno 911" ended its first season with a bang.
The Reno-based spoof of reality cop shows was one of the cable TV network's highest rated shows this year, according to a spokesperson for New York-based Comedy Central, and has been renewed for a second season that will start sometime in the second quarter 2004.
The show is in reruns until then.
The show's creators, who also star in the half-hour parody, will start writing next season's 13 episodes early next year, so no word yet if the production will travel to Reno for some real location shooting.
