Hope Esperanza Posas, 77, a Carson City resident for the past 55 years, died Dec. 23, 2003, in Carson City.
She was born July 17, 1926, in Denver to Joe and Mary Vega Posas.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Denver for several years.
Mrs. Posas was a homemaker and a certified nursing assistant. She was a CNA at Eagle Valley Children's Home and Carson Convalescent Center. Known as "Momma Hope," she loved to travel, go camping and enjoyed the outdoors.
Among her survivors are her children and spouses Nina and Harry McQueen and Mary and Dan Lutter, all of Dayton, Ramona and Mark Syddall of Mark Twain, Johnny Wungnema, Inez and Ray Dudley, Raymond and Donna Wungnema, all of Carson City, and Evelyn and Paul Larkin of Minden; 16 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory, and private inurnment will be at Stewart Indian Cemetery.
At his request, no service will be held.
