Heritage Bank plans northwest branch

Heritage Bank of Nevada is on track to open a branch on 7th Street just east of Keystone in late spring.

The branch in a 3,000-square-foot building will undergo modest remodeling before it opens as a Heritage Bank branch in May or June, said Stan Wilmoth, president and chief executive officer of the Reno-based company.

"It's just a great location for a bank," he said.

"We'll be the only community bank in the whole northwest quadrant of the city." Although the bank purchased the property for the new branch as well as a neighboring parcel at 7th and Keystone, Wilmoth said the bank has no immediate plans to develop the lot at the corner.

The branch will employ four.

With headquarters at 1401 S.

Virginia, Heritage Bank currently operates a branch at Damonte Ranch and a second branch at Carson City.
