The Reno-Tahoe Regional Marketing Committee, a consortium of tourism agencies and entities representing the Reno-Tahoe region, said last week it developed a six-state promotion in conjunction with Southwest Airlines to highlight the region's adventure vacations Contest winners will receive one of 60 'Daily Prize' packages, eight 'Grand Prizes' or the 'Ultimate Ski Pass Grand Prize' valued at $6,000.
The promotion includes:Web site online entry and destination information; print advertising; online advertising; promotional giveaways; regional radio promotions; in-airport banners, posters, brochures, entry cards and employee buttons; direct mail; internal promotions; and public relations.
Target cities are Boise, Idaho; Las Vegas; Los Angeles; Oakland, Calif.; Ontario, Calif.; Phoenix; Portland, Ore.; San Diego; San Jose, Calif.; Seattle; and Spokane,Wash.
Participating hotel/casino properties include: Atlantis Casino Resort; Bliss Mansion Bed & Breakfast; Cal-Neva Resort Spa & Casino; Caesar's Lake Tahoe; Circus Circus Hotel Casino; Club Cal Neva Hotel Casino; Eldorado Hotel/Casino; Fitzgerald's Casino/Hotel; Harrah's Lake Tahoe; Harrah's Reno Hotel & Casino; Harvey's Resort and Casino; Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort & Casino; John Ascuaga's Nugget; Park Inn - Hardman House; Peppermill Hotel Casino; Reno Hilton; Sands Regency Casino Hotel; Silver Club Hotel & Casino; Silver Legacy Resort Casino; Tahoe Biltmore Lodge & Casino; and The Plaza Hotel.
Participating ski resorts include: Alpine Meadows; Diamond Peak; Heavenly; Kirkwood; Mt.
