A memorial service for George Levine, 84, a Carson City resident for the past 22 years, will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mr. Levine died Feb. 13, 2003, in Carson City. He was born Dec. 27, 1918, in Chicago to Abraham and Fannie Margolis Levine. His father was from Russia, and his mother was from Austria.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Manhattan Beach, Calif.
Mr. Levine was a truck driver and a member of the Teamsters union.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice, in 2000; and seven siblings.
Among his survivors are his sons Daniel of Moorpark, Calif., and Brian of Los Angeles; daughter, Francesca Bori of Los Angeles; nephew, Dr. Richard Lane of Dallas; and four grandchildren.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
