A graveside service for Mabel Rose Silsby, 81, a Carson City resident for the past 43 years, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
Mrs. Silsby died Jan. 3, 2003, in Carson City. She was born March 11, 1921, in Goldfield, to Beverly E. and Grace G. Gearing Thomas.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Novato, Calif.
Mrs. Silsby enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She was a Christian.
She was preceded in death by a brother Bev and sister, Grace Kvam.
Among her survivors are sons Edward M., Thomas B. and James D., all of Carson City. and Gary D. of Littleton, Colo.; and seven grandchildren.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
