Obituary: Albert John

A funeral for Albert John, 73, a lifetime Gardnerville resident, will be at 2 p.m. today at the Dayspring Christian Assembly Church in Gardnerville.

Viewing will be from noon to 2 p.m. today at the church.

Mr. John died Jan. 6, 2003, in Sacramento. He was born Feb. 22, 1929, in Gardnerville, to Dewey and Nina George John.

Mr. John was a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed working on cars and was an avid horseman.

He was preceded in death by sons Dennis Albert, Frankie and Clayton Sr.

Among his survivors are: wife Madeline; sons Michael, Aldon, Clinton Eric and Darrell, all of Woodfords; daughters Karen Mortimer and Camilla Ann John, both of Woodfords, and Pauline John of Davis, Calif.; sister Josephine of Woodfords; grandchildren Carmella, Michelle, Cheryl, Kurt, Neil, Bobbi Lyn, Becky, Sonja, Clayton Jr., Jerry, Jeff, Nick, Maggie, Angelo, Clinton Jr., Naiomi and Stella; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at the Woodfords Cemetery.
