Business Bank of Nevada announced Wednesday it is opening a loan production office by mid-February in the Sierra Center at 1662 Highway 395, Suite 105, Minden.
It will be the second loan office Business Bank has opened in the Douglas County area in the last four months, bank officials said. In October, the Las Vegas-based bank began its expansion into northern Nevada by opening an loan office in the Stateline area of Lake Tahoe.
The Minden loan office will house Susan Potter, a longtime resident of the area and the newest bank employee. Potter joined Business Bank at the end of last year as vice president and commercial loan officer.
"It's hard to say exactly when we will open because it depends on arrival of furniture and equipment, but mid-month is likely," she said.
Potter will be responsible for loan underwriting, relationship and risk management, customer retention and business development of existing and new clients.
Bank President and CEO Guedry said his firm is looking to further expand in the Gardnerville-Minden area with a larger facility, which will include a full-service branch. The bank is in the process of acquiring a piece of property to build and open the branch, he said.
With the opening of the Minden office next month, Business Bank will have a presence in three markets, which include Carson City where the bank has a 5,000-square-foot, full-service branch at College Parkway and Goni Road.
