Business Bank opens a branch in Minden

Business Bank of Nevada last week opened a full-service branch in Minden.

The branch is the second in northern Nevada for Las Vegas-based Business Bank, which also operates a branch at Carson City.

Located at the Sierra Center, 1662 Highway 395, Suite 105, the branch is an expansion of a loan production office that Business Bank launched in Minden in January.

Stephanie Hettrick will manage daily operations of the bank.

Lending operations will be managed by Susan Potter.

Jessica Jones will be new accounts representative, and Jennifer Calabrese will work as a teller.

In addition, banking veteran Weldon Larry, a resident of the Minden/Gardnerville area who works as a consultant to Business Bank, will assist in marketing and promotion of the new branch.

Jerry Gregory, senior vice president and northern Nevada regional manager for Business Bank, said the company is close to buying land to build a 3,500- square-foot freestanding branch.

That land, he said, is close to the current location.

Along with the branch at Carson City, Business Bank's northern Nevada operations include a loan production office at South Lake Tahoe.

The company has said it plans to open at least one new branch a year in the state, although the location of the branches depends on market conditions and the availability of experienced staff.
