The Nevada Commission on Tourism donated $50,000 to the Reno Tahoe Winter Games Coalition in an effort to obtain the right to host the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.
"The RTWGC will continue to work toward a 2014 bid.
The October USOC meeting in Cleveland should help clarify the USOC's position on a potential 2014 bid," said Jim Vanden Heuvel, CEO of the RTWGC.
The Reno Sparks Chamber of Commerce and the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce's Economic Development committee has also endorsed the bid effort as well.
