A celebration of life for Raymond Burke, 68, a Dayton Valley resident for the past 39 years, will be 7 p.m. Saturday at the Dayton Community Center on Pike Street.

Mr. Burke died July 18, 2003, at his home.

Mr. Burke was a foreman for Al's Plumbing in Carson City and Crane Plumbing in Sparks for many years. He enjoyed working in the yard, traveling with his family and playing slow-pitch softball for Al's Plumbing. He was very involved in 4-H and was a 4-H leader in Dayton for the Dayton Stockman Lamb Club for many years. He was a San Francisco 49er fan.

Among his survivors are his wife, Donna; children Tim Burke of Washoe Valley, Kim Hayes, Kelly Service, Kristen Burke and Desiree Burk of Dayton; brother, Harley of Santa Cruz, Calif.; and 13 grandchildren.

Neptune Society of Sparks is in charge of arrangements.
