IGT wins big EZ Play order

Reno-based International Game Technology will sell up to 4,000 new EZ Play gaming machines to Argosy Gaming and retrofit another 1,000 machines during the next two years for Argosy Gaming.

Argosy, which runs casinos in the Midwest and South, reached the deal with IGT as it plans to convert six of its casinos entirely to ticket-in, ticket-out technology during the next two years.

In another development last week, IGT said it sold its Anchor Coin slot route to Herbst Gaming Inc.

of Las Vegas for $61 million.

IGT acquired the slots route when it purchased Anchor Gaming in 2001.
