Fallon restaurateur Sonny Zamora has taken over Michael Bros.
Steakhouse on the corner of Kietzke Lane and McCarran Boulevard in Reno.
The restaurant's previous owner, Michael Atkinson, sought bankruptcy protection for the restaurant last fall.
Now called Sonny Zamora's Steakhouse, the restaurant has changed the menu but maintained the interior and exterior decor.
The menu includes steaks, prime rib, seafood and pasta dishes at between $7 and $12 for lunch and from $12 to $23 for dinner.
"I have been in this business a long time and know what people expect from a restaurant," said Zamora in a prepared statement.
"When they see the wonderful decor and sense the warm and inviting ambience of this place, they expect the food and the service to live up to the surroundings.
That's exactly what my staff and I are soon prepared to provide."
Zamora also owns a steakhouse in Fallon.
The Reno restaurant is open now for lunch during the week from 11 a.m.
to 2 p.m.
and dinner nightly except Sunday from 5 p.m.
to 10 p.m.
