ipAuctions sale raises $30,000

Reno-based ipAuctions raised about $30,000 in its auction of the intellectual property assets of HardwareStreet.com.

ipAuctions was hired by a bankruptcy court to handle the on-line auction, which closed March 7.

Joe Popolo, president of ipAuctions, said a patent held by HardwareStreet.com covering an interactive catalog sold for $18,250.

Another patent, also covering an interactive catalog system, sold for $10,525.

The domain name was purchased for $125, and the primary customer data file of HardwareStreet.com sold for $950.

The sale was the first bankruptcy auction handled by ipAuctions.
