Tickets are on sale for the Western Industrial Nevada lecture series dinner featuring Al Franken.
The dinner is April 25 at the Reno Hilton.
Sponsored by Q&D Construction, the WIN Lecture Series Dinner raises funds to support northern Nevada economic development efforts and scholarships for local youth.
Probably best known for his work on "Saturday Night Live," Franken was part of the original writing staff that created the late-night show.
He won four Emmy awards for his writing for SNL and a fifth Emmy for producing the show.
In 1988, he provided commentary for CNN at the Democratic National Convention and hosted performances at the 1994 and 1996 White House Correspondents Dinners.
His first book, "I'm Good Enough, I'm Smart Enough and Doggone It, People Like Me," was published in 1992.
His second book, "Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot and Other Observations" was No.
1 on the New York Times Bestseller List for five weeks.
