Ron Laxton has been named as vice president and chief nursing officer at the 529-bed Washoe Medical Center.
Laxton, a registered nurse, previously worked with the Inova Health System in Falls Church, Va., where he was most recently chief nurse executive at Inova Fairfax Hospital.
He also has held nursing leadership positions in Scripps/Mercy Healthcare System in San Diego and Lee Memorial Health System in Fort Myers, Fla.
