Vista Gold, a Denver-based company, says it will purchase mining projects seven miles southwest of Tonopah from Newmont Mining Corp.
Vista will pay $250,000 along with a royalty if the Hasbrouck and Three Hills prospects start production.
The first $50,000 payment would be cash; the remaining $200,000 would be paid in either cash or Vista's stock and Vista is allowed to choose.
